How to Use Facebook Ads to Get More Leads and Reach Your Best Prospects

Do you want to know exactly how to run a Facebook ads to get leads and more sales?

Facebook ads are an extremely powerful way to connect with your potential customers and one of the most inexpensive places to advertise on the web.  But there are mistakes that you can make when setting up Facebook ads.

Take a look at my presentation from Social Media Day Denver where I cover how to do split testing, how to target your Facebook ads, how the Facebook Pixel works and there’s a little humor mixed in. This training just a small section of what I teach in my longer workshops and my full course! But I hope it will give you some very valuable insights on how to run a successful Facebook Ad Campaign.

Some quick highlights of what I teach in the video:

How to Use Facebook Ads to Get Leads

The general process of how to use Facebook Ads to get leads looks like this:

  1. Develop a free “Lead Magnet” (ie. coupon, ebook, webinar, video series)
  2. Set up a Landing Page to offer the freebie (I use leadpages)
  3. Install the Facebook Pixel on Landing Page and Thank You Page to track conversions
  4. Drive targeted traffic to your Landing Page with Facebook Ad

An alternative to this process is to use the Lead Generation ad which is a little different and doesn’t require a landing page.  Instead you create a form within Facebook to gather the leads.  But I find that sometimes the Landing Page can have bigger benefits because you have more space to tell people about the free lead magnet that they will receive.

Targeting Your Facebook Ads

Choosing the best keywords is CRITICAL to your ad’s performance.  But how do you know?  You have to research and test.

In this example I show different Facebook Fan pages that can be targeting but it may not be a good idea to have all these Fan pages in one group because they aren’t necessarily similar audiences.  Break these out into individual ads so you can see which ones work better to convert leads.

Split Testing Your Facebook Ads

When you do your split testing, start with your Demographics and keywords.  Then move to testing images.

Split test Facebook Ads

For a Local Business – you may not have too many demographics to test since you are only focusing on your local area.  So in that case, you can go right to testing different images.

The Key to Your Success:  Facebook Ad Reports

One of the biggest mistakes I see businesses making is not reading the Facebook Ad reports correctly.  When you can dive into the reports and analyze which ad is giving you the best cost per click, best click through rate, and best cost per conversion, then you can really improve your results.

Again, this is only scratching the surface of how you can use Facebook Ads.  If you really want a better system for running Facebook Ads, I have an EXCELLENT course called Facebook Advertising Secrets.  The course includes a private Facebook group where you can ask me questions.

The other thing I offer is one-on-one consultations where I specialize in reviewing your current ad campaigns, analyzing what is working well and what can be improved, and give you a course of action to take.
