What is the deal with these New Facebook Groups?? They keep messing with things and I don’t like it. The idea behind them is they are more group-controlled and less administrator-controlled. Here are a couple of the big changes (the good, bad and ugly – the ugly goes first):
- You can automatically add someone to a group. Not invite them, but add them into the group without their permission. That’s ugly. You can remove yourself from the group but it’s up to you to do it.
- You may get a lot of notifications unless you change your settings. See the video on how to do that.
- New Groups may have some better features to communicate as a group. Also, they have a new Document sharing feature….hmmm will this start competing with Google Docs? Time will tell!
