Here’s the number one thing you shouldn’t do on Google+: Freak out. Don’t do it. I know it’s overwhelming with Twitter, Facebook, blogging and now this hot little number Google+ that everyone is talking about. So do we jump ship? Start circling everyone we can? No, let’s not get our knickers in a knot over this whole thing.
You don’t need to and shouldn’t abandon your communities you have built on Facebook or Twitter. Don’t feel like you have start spending all your time on Google+. I do think it’s something to watch and possibly build but we don’t know what the Business Pages are going to look like yet. I was recently interview by Pamela Wilson about my thoughts on Google+ and she had some great questions – take a look at the interview over on the Big Brand System.
That being said, there are some things you should be doing to watch your privacy, spiff up your profile and have a little fun. Take a look at my tutorial on three things you must do on Google+. Then leave me a comment – what do you think about Google+?
Great stuff, G’ma…you’re the hippest of your generation. I’ll share with my friends on G’+. Now time for cookies!
Thanks for this Grandma! Perfect advice for those of us trying to figure
out what to do with the new kid on the block (Google+ 🙂
p.s. Nice interview with Pamela, too.
Thanks Mike! And I have to add a footnote that I was banned from Google+ but I knew it would happen! They are only taking personal names for now until they get their brand/business pages up.
Thanks Ann – sorry for the late reply, I was on a little vacation. Happy to help with G+!
Thank you! I truly appreciate the video! It has been a little overwhelming…I am setting aside 15 minutes a day to fool around on Google+. Still learning those ‘circles’. 🙂 God Bless!
