What is happening with the Facebook Fan Pages? This has made Grandma extremely cranky. It appears that the Like feature is here to stay. It rolled out Monday, then we went back to fans and now we are back to Liking things instead of becoming a Fan of something.
The biggest problem is that you can’t see your own Fans anymore – or Likers. Or whatever the heck you call them now – I don’t know what to do with this lingo. You can only see the Fans who were already your friends. The rest of your fans you cannot access to know who likes you. OK, my bad, they changed that so you can now see all your own “Likers” if you are an Admin to the page. They didn’t have that capability on Monday. I can’t keep up – it’s making me crazy. Or more crazy.
What you can’t do is go to another Fan Page and see all the fans. You can only see people who Like that page if they are your friends. So you know if your friends like the page, but you can’t see other people who like the page.
I’m going to have to talk to Mark Zuckerberg about this. Watch the video to see Grandma lose her cool over this issue. Leave a comment and let me know what you think about the Liking – do you like it?
Granda Mary,
And I do not like it, not one little bit! (Credit to Dr. Seuss and The Cat in the Hat.)
I can see my fans, even those who are not my friends. Maybe because my fan page is connected to my Profile page.
But one of my fans told me she can only see her friends when she looks at my fan list. She’s been a big recruiter of new fans for me, and now cannot check on her own to see if they signed up.
So what can we do to get it changed back???
I don’t know Marilyn! I’ve got a call into Mark Zuckerberg 🙂 But I did see that Admins can see their “Likers” now – it’s hard to keep up when Facebook keeps changing every few minutes. It is frustrating that outside fans can’t see all the other fans though! Thanks for your comment!
I don’t know when this article was written (might be nice to post that info) but i am just noticing that i can’t see who likes my page at all which is very inconvenient since i don’t have control anymore. It’s ridiculous. Why is Facebook doing this? Do they want to sell me that info at some point?
Hi Kenny, this was posted about 6 months ago. You should be able to see your Likers if you Log in as your Page – go up to the down arrow button in the upper right corner and click Use Facebook as Page and Switch over to your Page. Then you can click on the link right under the number of Likes that says “like this” – or you can go to the upper left where the new Likes notification is and see them there. Hope that helps! It’s hard to keep up and thanks for stopping by!
